At its most basic, Hot Potato Press is a way to keep up to date on what’s happening in food and farming in Ithaca and Tompkins County. But at its core, Hot Potato Press is a community conversation about food, one that spans beyond the web to person-to-person relationships. We’re not here to tell you what to eat, where to shop, or what policies to support. Instead, we’re here to help ask questions on behalf of our community and seek an understanding of issues that matter, especially issues related to health, sustainability, and social justice. We hope that this effort has been useful and meaningful to you.
Hot Potato Press has come a long way since its founding in 2015, and we’re thrilled to announce that the Cayuga Medical Center’s Center for Healthy Living has become our newest sponsor.
We could not produce this up-to-date resource without the continued dedication of many volunteers and writers, the GreenStar Community Projects Board of Directors, funding from The Park Foundation, and technical support from Reimer Consulting.
So thank you to everyone who grows, produces, and eats here in Tompkins County, and especially to our readers. We hope that you’ll continue the conversation.
