“I’m here kind of by accident,” said one man. Another said, “I probably wouldn’t be alive without Loaves and Fishes.”
Loaves and Fishes offers free nutritious meals & advocacy services Monday through Friday throughout the year to anyone who walks in the door. Guests at Loaves and Fishes express gratitude for the good food, but more often than not, they praise the organization for the sense of belonging, friendship, and purpose it brings to their lives. Some go so far as to say that it saved their lives.
This year, Loaves and Fishes of Tompkins County is providing a free Christmas Eve lunch at noon on December 24, and Christmas Day dinner at 5:30pm on December 25, at 210 North Cayuga St. (Corner of Buffalo and Cayuga St. in the St. John’s Church). Doors open about a half hour before the meal.
