Cafe Dewitt is looking for a chef to work 4 days per week (Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday), with the expectation that the job will go to 5 days in the Fall. This position includes prep and line work (cold and hot side). Applicants must have restaurant kitchen experience (experience on the hot side, especially cooking eggs, is a big plus), be multitaskers, and be able to handle a fast-paced environment. We are looking for people who are team players, can work quickly and accurately, communicate well and have cooperative personalities. This is a very small staff, good interpersonal skills and the ability to handle stress are a must. Weekends are our busiest services, so candidates must be trustworthy and dependable.
Hours will generally be 7am-4pm, approx. 32 hours per week. Pay will start at $10/hr, but will be commensurate with experience. I would like to have this position filled, trained and running by the end of June.
