Permaculture intern(s) sought for local forest farm

Announcement from Cayuta Sun Farm:

Would you like to learn and work on a young and growing woodland farm? We invite you to experience and assist Cayuta Sun Farm as it develops into a permaculture-designed forest farm.

In the upcoming year stacks of shiitake mushroom logs, flocks of chicken, a small herd of pigs, and numerous gardens will require committed care and attention. Additionally, we are busy with design and construction projects, landscape assessment, brush clearing, pasture-management, plantings, cultivation and the unexpected challenges of building a farm. Twice during summer the farm will host educational events with the Finger Lakes Permaculture Institute. All these tasks need competent help.

This work can be an opportunity for the right person(s) who wish to augment their permaculture studies with hands-on work. We are lucky to be located in the beautiful Finger Lakes region of New York in a community that values and encourages small, innovative, and sustainable farms. We love our thriving local scene of permaculture practitioners; if you are a hard-working and thoughtful student of ecological design you may also.
